WHAT IS A GICLÉE?

"St. Eugene Mission"

Reproduced as an Iris Giclée in a limited edition of 250,
hand signed and numbered by the artist.

Sizes of the reproductions are: 14" x 21" - ($400) or 10" x 15" - ($275)

It was an honour to have been asked by Chief Sophie Pierre, of the Ktunaxa-/Kinbasket Tribal Council to paint the St. Eugene Mission to hang in the new St. Eugene Mission Resort and Casino of the Rockies.

The Ktunaxa people have lived in the area for more than ten thousand years and have provided the region with some of our finest cultural identity. As an artist this cultural uniqueness is inspiring- as are the words of Tribal Elder Mary Paul, now deceased, who in 1984 said "Since it was within the St. Eugene Mission that the culture of the Kootenay Indian was taken away, it should be within that building that it is returned."

Funds from the sale of these giclées will go toward establishing the Interpretive Centre at the resort.
